Educational Outlook

Temple College offers two-degree options in Social Work. The AA in Social Work is designed for students pursuing a Licensed Social Worker designation. The AAS in Forensic Social Work option emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach for investigative and advocacy training related to adult and child abuse and/or neglect cases. Both degree options include 48 to 80 hours of supervised experiential learning. (SOCW 2389 Academic Cooperative) An MOU with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services has been initiated to qualify graduates from the AAS in Forensic Social Work program to apply for Child Protective Investigation Worker Trainee positions.
