The library search focuses on our physical collection and a small portion of our database resources; however, additional articles/ebooks can be found in our online databases. Our databases are divided by subject area to help you find the best sites for your class needs.

Hutto, Taylor, and TSTC faculty members can sign up to have a librarian visit their classroom. Classes include information literacy, fact-checking, and using library resources and can be tailored to a particular course or assignment if desired.

Available for Check Out
The EWCHEC Hutto library has more than just books available to patrons. Come to the library if you need any of these items:
- Calculators: standard, TI-84 plus, and TI-89
- Laptops
- Puzzles and games
- Universal Laptop Charging Cable
Charging Station
The library has a stationary charging station with lightning, USB-C, and micro USB cables for charging mobile devices. Patrons can also easily access electrical outlets in the seating areas to use their cables.
Computers/Printing
The EWCHEC Hutto library has 16 computers available for student use. All are equipped with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat. Students may also print, copy, and scan free of charge.
Study Rooms
The EWCHEC Hutto library has two study rooms for group work or individual study. Each study room has a whiteboard and a TV monitor with HDMI connectivity for sharing computer screens. Study rooms are available for walk-ins.
Textbook Reserves
The library has a small collection of Textbooks available for 2-hour checkout. If no one is waiting to use the book, renewals will be granted. Check the Library Search or contact the library to see if we have your textbook available!
Research and Writing Help
Visit the EWCHEC Hutto library for assistance with research and paper writing. Please speak with a librarian for help finding resources for classwork, navigating our online resources, and any other questions.

A writing tutor is available throughout the week at the Hutto Library. Visit the Writing Center's homepage for more information about their services and availability.

Hutto, Taylor, and TSTC patrons may fill out a materials request form to order books/articles from other locations such as:
- Any materials located at the Temple Campus Library. Requests will be shipped through campus mail to the Hutto or Taylor centers.
- Any book or article requested that is unavailable in our collection will be ordered from other libraries through interlibrary loan (ILL).

Hutto Center pick-up: Books will be held at the Hutto Center Library.
Taylor Center pick-up: Books headed to Taylor will be checked out to the student first and shipped to the Taylor front office for pick-up.
TexShare is a resource lending consortium comprised of many Texas academic and public libraries. Fill out a Card Request Form to sign up. We will issue you a card and email when it is available for pickup. Once you have your card, you may borrow books from participating libraries according to their TexShare lending policies.

The Avery Family Library on the EWCHEC-Hutto campus provides resources for patrons at Temple College Hutto/Taylor and TSTC Hutto. The library houses a collection of books and provides access to resources such as computers, laptops, calculators, printing/copying, and study spaces.
FAQs
How do I log into Temple College Databases from home?
Log into the databases using your Temple College student email and password.

Can I bring my snack to the library?
Snacks and drinks with lids are permitted in the library. Library staff reserves the right to prohibit messy or smelly foods.
Is there a charge for printing or making copies?
At the Hutto Center, printing and copying is free of charge. These services are for academic use only and must follow copyright restrictions. The librarian reserves the right to deny excessive, irrelevant, or copyright-infringing printing/copying.
Can I check out a textbook?
Current textbooks on reserve are only available for in-house checkout for 2 hours at a time, with the ability to renew 2 times if no one else is waiting to use the book. This ensures that all students have access to the required texts.
