Steps
- 1. Apply for admission by completing an online application
- 2. Request official transcripts from high school and colleges attended
- 3. Submit proof of bacterial meningitis vaccination within the last 5 years if under 22 years old
- if you are unable to get the shot, you may apply for a shot waiver at: https://co-request-jc.dshs.texas.gov/
- 4. Get advised and registered for classes
Financial Aid Steps
- 1. Apply for an FSA ID: studentaid.gov
- 2. Submit Free Application for Federal Student Aid: studentaid.gov
- 3. Use Temple College School Code: 003627
- 4. Import your federal income tax information from 2 years ago OR link your IRS account with your FAFSA account
- 5. Add what applies to your Department
*The FAFSA application must be completed each year and becomes available on October 1st. Please submit prior to registration for classes. Allow 3-5 business days to process.
TSI Testing

- As part of New Student Admission steps, please sign up for Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Assessment
- Testing centers are located at the main campus in Temple (#254-298-8589) or the Hutto Campus (512-759-5925)
- Prior to testing, complete the Pre-Assessment Activity
- The TSI assessment must be completed prior to registration for first semester classes
- TSI assessment is $25

Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday:
8 am - 6 pm
Wednesday:
8 am - 8 pm
Advising Center Steps
- Meet with an Enrollment Coordinator to discuss education plans and register for classes.
- View semester schedules or add/drop classes online through Self Service.
Enrollment Center Hours
Monday-Thursday
8 am - 6 pm
Friday:
8 am - 12 pm
Payment Process
- Pay online, over the phone or in person at the Hutto Cashier’s Office
- Cash, check, or credit card accepted
- A Valid PHOTO ID is required for ALL Check and Credit/Debit Card transactions
- Please make ALL checks payable to Temple College
- If needed, set up a payment plan online
Unpaid tuition will result in dropped classes – Check online academic calendar for important payment dates
Final Steps
- Purchase textbooks and supplies
- Pick up a student ID at the cashier’s office
- Learn how to navigate online student portals and email account
- Attend New Student Orientation
