Why I teach at Temple College

I teach because I enjoy the interaction between myself and learners of all ages. I love biology and want to instill that love in other people. I want students to enjoy learning about biological principles.

I love teaching at TC because it is small and easy to learn my students. I taught at a large university and the students in many classes just get lost. One of my classes has over 100 students and I did not know any of their names. Here at TC, I get to know my students, I want my students to succeed, and I love hearing from previous students and their accomplishments.

Hobbies & Interests

I enjoy outdoor activities like gardening, kayaking, hiking, swimming, and camping. I also enjoy sewing and crafting. I am an avid reader and average at least 100 books a year and am involved in several book clubs.

Education

I have an AA in interpreting for the deaf, a BS in biology with a minor in chemistry, and an MS in biology with a concentration in cell biology.
