Expanding Educational Opportunities in Semiconductor Training at Temple College

Temple College is poised to enhance its educational offerings with the upcoming launch of the new Visual Arts & Workforce building, a vital step towards addressing the growing demands of the semiconductor industry. This initiative not only introduces specialized training in semiconductor manufacturing but also complements our existing manufacturing programs, establishing Temple College as a comprehensive hub for workforce development.

Central to this expansion is the establishment of a Chips Hub, designed to provide targeted training in specialty chip manufacturing on both our Temple and Taylor campuses. Taylor, notably, is strategically positioned as the home of Samsung Corporation’s state-of-the-art fabrication plant, the largest semiconductor chip manufacturing facility in the United States. This proximity to a leading industry player underscores our commitment to align educational pathways with the needs of a dynamic and rapidly evolving workforce.

roots-logo-full-black.pngIn partnership with Roots Education Co. LLC, Temple College is implementing an innovative training program that includes specialized equipment for advanced robotics. The curriculum features the construction of a mock clean room environment where aspiring robotics technicians can gain hands-on experience within a 20-week framework. Additionally, we will offer four prestigious credentials through the Smart Automation Certification Alliance (SACA), further enhancing the credentials our trainees can attain.
