Campus Police Department
Temple College has its own Police Department to provide safety and security for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
The Department offers these additional services:

Report a Crime or Request Police Services
For Police, Fire, or Medical emergency response, please dial 9-1-1. For non-emergency reporting, please call 8911 from any on-campus telephone. If dialing from a cell phone or other telephone, dial 254-298-8911. You can make reports Sunday - Saturday 6 am - midnight. When a caller places a call, the caller needs to explain the emergency and the location. When Campus Police arrives, officers will:

Remember: When calling in an emergency situation, remain calm so that you can be clearly understood and police assistance can reach you faster.
Obtaining a Police Report
For a copy of a police report taken by the Temple College Police Department, please contact the Chief of Police. Copies are provided at no charge.
The Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act)
The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), as a part of the Higher Education Act of 1965, is a federal law that requires colleges and universities to disclose certain timely and annual information about campus crime and security policies. All public and private post-secondary educational institutions participating in federal student aid programs are required to comply with this law. The law, originally enacted by Congress in 1990 as the Campus Security Act, was initiated by Howard and Connie Clery after their daughter Jeanne was tragically murdered at Lehigh University in 1986. Amendments to the Act in 1998 renamed it in memory of Jeanne Clery.
The Clery Act requires colleges and universities to publish an annual report every year by October 1 that contains three years of crime statistics and certain policy statements including sexual assault policies, which assure basic victims’ right, the law enforcement authority of campus police, and where the students should go to report crimes. We are now issuing Student Parking Permits. Student Parking areas require a permit starting September 1, 2025. A permit is required to park in Student or Staff Parking areas on the Main Temple Campus. Students can get their parking permit at the Cashier on the 1st floor of our Main building located at 2600 S. 1st Street, Temple, TX 76504.
