Meets requirements of Division 4 Professional Development §746.1301 24 clock hours of preservice training as required by §746.1305 of Minimum Standards for Child Care Centers.
This training will include:
- Developmental stages of children
- Age-appropriate activities for children
- Positive guidance and discipline for children
- Fostering children's self-esteem
- Supervision and safety practices in the care of children
- Positive interaction with children
- Preventing and controlling the spread of communicable diseases, including immunizations
Additionally, all caregivers will receive training on understanding early childhood brain development, including shaken baby syndrome, SIDS, and safe sleep practices.
