Have you created a film for a class project, shared videos on social media, or dreamed of writing, directing, or starring in your own motion picture? If you have a story to tell, the Temple College Film Festival wants to showcase your talent.

Presented by College’s Division of Fine Arts as part of the Temple College Humanities Series, the 2025 Temple College Biennial Film Festival invites submissions from students, faculty and staff who are enrolled at or employed by Temple College, a partner college, or a school district served by Temple College.

“The first film festival was so much fun that we decided to do it again!” said Dr. Derek Mudd, chair of Temple College’s Department of Communication, Theatre and Humanities. “We encourage filmmakers of all skill levels to submit their work.”

The deadline to submit a film is Feb. 17, 2025.

Submission guidelines include:

  • Submissions must be the filmmaker's own original work. Each entry shall be free from copyright restrictions and the author agrees to hold Temple College, its officers, and directors free and harmless from all copyright claims.
  • Submissions should range from one to 30 minutes in length.
  • There is a limit of two submission per filmmaker.

Selected films will be screened at the Beltonian Theatre in Belton, Texas, on March 20 at 7:30 p.m.

For more information on submission guidelines and festival details, visit the Festival website; or contact Dr. Derek Mudd at derek.mudd@templejc.edu or Dr. Christopher Krejci at christopher.krejci@templejc.edu.
