Leopard Alert

Leopard Alert is an emergency notification service that gives Temple College the ability to communicate health and safety emergency information quickly by e-mail and/or text message. By enrolling in Leopard Alert, Temple College can quickly pass on safety-related information, regardless of your location.

There are several ways to sign up:

• Automatic Enrollment: All current faculty, staff, and students will be added to the main Temple College channel automatically over the next few weeks. If you want to sign up early, use a different email or phone number, or subscribe to individual campus channels, follow the simple steps below.
• Sign up Online for Regroup notifications
• Sign up using Text Messages
  • Text “join leopardalert” to 58339 to sign up for all campus messages. This may include weather delays or emergency events that affect all locations.
  • Text “join tctemple” to 58339 to sign up for all Temple College Main Campus messages that affect only the Temple campus
  • Text “join tctaylor” to 58339 to sign up for Temple College Taylor Campus
  • Text “join tchutto” to 58339 to sign up for Temple College Hutto Campus
  • Text “join tcrockdale” to 58339 to sign up for Temple College Rockdale Campus
• Sign up using the Regroup Mobile App Use the registration code TempleCollege
• Opt-Out Options: If you wish to stop receiving alerts, you will have the option to easily opt out directly from within any message you receive, or go to Regroup unsubscribe.
• Two-Way Communication: The new Regroup system introduces powerful interactive capabilities. During an active alert, recipients can now provide immediate feedback regarding their safety status. Additionally, you will be able to reply through text or email with text, images, audio, or video to report observations in real-time.
• Language Translation: To ensure clear communication for our entire community, the new system includes an option to automatically translate alert messages into another language.

Leopard Alert System Procedures

When an emergency occurs, the Leopard Alert system can send email, text messages and voice messages to students and employees in as little as 90 seconds.

Applicable Situations

Leopard Alert will be sent in emergencies that require unscheduled closure or evacuation of a campus or the district. This includes but is not limited to weather.
