Certified Nurse Aides (CNA) work in healthcare facilities, assisting nurses with patient care. They perform basic care functions such as bathing, grooming and feeding patients; assisting with medical equipment; and monitoring vital signs under the supervision of a licensed vocational nurse or registered nurse. CNAs are employed in hospitals, long-term care facilities, home health agencies, community health clinics, hospices and physicians’ offices. The program includes enhanced telemetry training, providing essential knowledge in electrocardiography—a skill in high demand among healthcare employers.

Customer Service Specialists work in various industries, handling customer inquiries, complaints and feedback to enhance business-consumer relationships. The skills gained in this certification are valuable in any industry that provides customer support and are highly sought after in today’s job market.

Electrocardiography (EKG) Technicians play a vital role in hospitals, physician offices and other healthcare facilities. Their responsibilities include conducting electrocardiogram tests, preparing patients for cardiovascular assessments, monitoring recorded data quality, reporting findings to the attending physician and maintaining cardiography equipment.

Residential Wiremen are electricians who specialize in installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems within residential buildings. Their duties include wiring, installing fixtures, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.

Solar Energy Technicians install, maintain and repair solar panels on homes, businesses and other structures. They are also known as solar panel installers, solar techs or photovoltaic (PV) installers.

All scholarship recipients receive additional training in adult basic education contextualized to their core field, along with soft skills and workforce preparation training.
