Temple College’s Division of Fine Arts will present the Temple College Faculty Jazz Sextet in concert at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, in the Mary Alice Marshall Performing Arts Center Backstage Theatre.
Admission is free, and guests are encouraged to bring a lunch for this brownbag event.
The concert will feature classic jazz compositions that have long inspired the ensemble’s playing and writing, including:
The Faculty Jazz Sextet includes Alonzo Ellison on trumpet, Colin Mason on saxophone, Dan Andersen on guitar, Dr. Benjamin Irom on piano, Billy Satterwhite on bass and Nathan Siegel on drums and vibraphone.
“Our program is a collection of musical gems that have been favorites of ours for many years,” Irom said. “We’re excited to share our admiration of these pieces with the audience.”
