Art Scholarship Information
Criteria for Art Scholarship Recipients
Anyone interested in receiving an art department scholarship should download and fill out the art scholarship application form included here. First-time applicants must also have a portfolio review with members of the Temple College art faculty. Scholarship amounts are contingent on the number of applicants, the amount of annual funding, and the quality/need of the applicants. Both partial and full scholarships are distributed.
Scholarship applicants must be art majors and promise to enroll in at least 6 hours in the fall/spring semester. Applicants must be enrolled in at least two art classes, preferably more. Students selected for an art scholarship are expected to represent the Temple College Art Department. Applicants must spend some time and energy doing this. Art students need to attend art openings, help hang exhibitions, represent the department in local and regional exhibitions and, in general, promote and represent the art department at Temple College.
