 Artwork Requirements

1. All submitted artwork must be the student's original work and may not have been previously exhibited in the Central Texas Art Competition & Exhibition. Submitted work must be created by the student and reflect the student's own artistic decisions and creative process. AI-generated artwork will not be accepted.
2. All artwork must be delivered in person to the Michael Donahue Gallery, located inside the Workforce and Visual Arts Building at Temple College.
3. Each artwork must have a completed identification card securely attached to the upper-left corner on the back of the artwork.
4. Schools must also provide a typed artwork list that includes each student's name, artwork title, and school affiliation. A copy of the list should be emailed in advance and brought

Juror Information

We are honored to welcome Dr. Wynona Alexander as juror for the 47th Annual Central Texas Art Competition & Exhibition. With more than four decades of experience as an artist, educator, curator, and juror, Dr. Alexander served as Chair of the Fine Arts Department at Central Texas College and previously taught Studio Art and Art History at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of North Texas and has pursued extensive international study of art throughout Europe, Mexico, and Turkey. Her own artistic practice focuses on wearable art, metalsmithing, and found-object assemblage, with work exhibited throughout the United States and internationally. Dr. Alexander brings a wealth of artistic knowledge, educational experience, and a lifelong commitment to the visual arts to this year’s competition.

Awards

Awards will be revealed during the exhibition's opening reception. Awards will be presented separately in the High School and College divisions.

Each division will receive:

• Five Awards of Excellence — $125 each
• Two Honorable Mention Awards — $75 each
• One Juror's Award — $250
