The Temple College's Visual Art Department offers a solid foundation in both technical skills and conceptual understanding. Located in the Visual Arts Complex at 2101 S. 5th St., the program is just a short distance from Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth and Waco.

The 17,000 square-foot facility houses an art gallery, computer lab, photography lab, audio/visual lecture room, drawing/printmaking studio, ceramic/sculpture studio, painting studio, and outdoor kiln/foundry work area. Studio space and hours are flexible, enabling students to work in the facility outside of class.

The Art Department offers full and partial scholarships to art majors promising to enroll at least six hours in the fall/spring semester. These scholarships are based on merit, scholastic achievement, artistic potential and financial need.
