Program Information
The Dental Hygiene program has earned full accreditation by the American Dental Association.
The program in dental hygiene is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation [and has been granted the accreditation status of “approval without reporting requirements”]. The Commission is a specialized accrediting body recognized by the United States Department of Education. The Dental Hygiene program begins in the summer semester each year and takes approximately two years of full-time study to complete. Enrollment is limited to 12 incoming students each year, and admission is competitive. You will receive the program application at the information session.

Before you can apply, download the information packet and observation forms from the Application Procedure section above. Watch the dental hygiene information session video and take the short test at the end of the video in order to receive the application via email.
Texas Woman’s University has partnered with Temple College to offer a Dual Enrollment Dental Hygiene program. The program gives students the opportunity to complete a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene degree while simultaneously completing the Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene degree from the Temple College Dental Hygiene program. Dual enrollment means that students will be taking courses from both institutions in a melded curriculum.
