Some people believe that leaders are born, not made. While it is true that some individuals have natural leadership qualities, others become leaders when faced with difficult circumstances. Ordinary people can step up and take charge when they feel strongly about a situation, like parenting. Many parents discover their leadership abilities when they have children and need to guide and protect them.
Once you learn the techniques of true leadership and influence, you can gain the confidence to take the lead. The more experience you have as a genuine leader, the easier it becomes. Taking the lead is never easy, as you will need to make decisions and face challenges, but it can become second nature and fulfilling.
