Music Scholarship Information
The Music Department offers performance-based scholarships to any student based upon audition. Scholarship award amounts vary based on playing ability, major and number of ensembles for which a student enrolls.
Appropriate audition material would consist of anything that best shows the talents of the individual musician. Good examples would be solos performed for solo and ensemble contest, etudes prepared for all-region band and all-state auditions, orchestral excerpts, jazz improvisation with a tape or CD accompaniment or any other similar suitable material suggested by your directors or private instructors. Students may also be requested to play scales and/or sight-read.
